Classic Kitchen Restaurant in Calhoun

Good food and kind staff.This is a local restaurant, that is just off a main road. So travelers don't really notice it, but the locals do. Much of the food is fried, but they have salads and other options.There are good options for all meal courses.The staff are incredibly helpful and nice.The food is served quickly. Literally to your table just after it is cooked and it is smoke piping hot.The fried mushrooms are good whole mushrooms.The wings are actually wingettes. They do give extra for the size. But still...wingettes.There is some nice outside seating as well as inside seating.You'll do better here than most others in this area.Prices are reasonable.

The crab ball appetizers are a must! Follow up with a shrimp po boy and the helpings will challenge you to be able to finish. Delicious food and a caring family run business. The slaw is homemade and reminds me of my mom's. I was travelling when I found this little gem and may have to make a special trip to go again!

Sunday caters to the after church crowds (i.e., no beer on Sundays, plenty of seating for large groups). Excellent fried pickle spears. Did not feel welcomed by the staff, so headed to Resaca for lunch instead.

After reading all the reviews was very disappointed. Sever was so so, mostly sandwich menu. Philly steak sandwiches she recomend were over cooked and crispy. Very dry. The cashier wore a Mexican restaurant tshirt. He said he was just helping them out. Talking about a guy changing their signs. Maybe new owners bought the place. Not sure but I would NOT reccomend going there.

Daughter and I had lunch philly cheese steak, french fries and homemade ranch dressing. The food and service was excellent! :)

Always clean very friendly family owned restaurant great choices on menu and my favorite appetizer item, cheese balls.

The seasoning on their fries is amazing. Their burgers are as good as Culver's. The gyro is fantastic. The chili dog, slaw dog etc is very good and has a great bun. The waiters are polite and have manners. If unsolicited advice were accepted, it would be to add some background music so it's not so quiet and to shampoo the chair cushions. This place is a small local business that you should go to.

Very disappointed in this restaurant, there is nothing "classic" here. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and chips. The grilled cheese was not grilled and came on a hoagie bun , the cheese was tasteless . My husband cannot even remember what he had to eat. I will not spend my money here again.

Ok, me and my husband at here, srevice was good food hot and fresh made to order, first time we have tried it here it was good, prices were kinda on the high side, still you get what you pay for!

Best restaurant by FAR in the whole Gordon County! Where it lacks beauty it makes up in the most delicious food, well put together, cheap meals I've seen in years. The BBQ platter is to die for and it's only like 6 bucks!

Formerly Atlanta Gate Restaurant. Everything on the menu is good. My favorite is the French Dip Sandwich. Try the Ribsye also!

Most awesome place, just a little hole in the wall but always perfect!!! Spicy steak sandwich, Prime rib and crab balls, YUM! Sweetest family business.

This is actually under new owners and is called, Calhoun's bar and grill. Great wi gs and a delicious Shrimp Po Boy.

Services always good food is brought out in timely food is hot and fresh waiters are very nice the best shrimp and hamburger steaks very good go out try them you enjoy your meals.
